SensCare uses the built-in camera to measure your heart rate and track its evolution. This allows you to keep track of your resting heart rate, the proved approach to monitoring your heart health and preventing related diseases.

“Epidemiological studies show that a resting tachycardia is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease and sudden death. Elevated heart rate is also highly and independently predictive of 6-month and 1-year mortality following acute myocardial infarction.” Henry Purcell, MB, PhD (Senior Fellow in Cardiology - Royal Brompton Hospital - London – UK).

“We carry in us a sudden death risk and information is comprised in the heart rate”. Xavier Jouven, MD (European hospital Georges Pompidou, Paris - France). The heart rate profile at rest or during an effort is an strong predictive factor of sudden death according to the French study conducted by Xavier Jouven MD and published is the New England Journal of Medicine.

Gay
After a week it asks you to pay to subscribe to view all your past measures. Better off getting their free version "heart fitness" instead. Waste of my dollar.
Unreliable!
This app indicates that anything "red" has a pulse; including inanimate objects.
Could never get a reading
No matter how much I tried, I could never get all 4 corners of preview red, 2 were always orange. No matter how still I held. It said to hold still. It never got a good reading, after 6 tries. Junk
Not an honest app
This is the paid version that is supposef to give you the option of saving the history of your pulse measurements, something not available in the free app. Well, it will only let you save the history for the last week. Then it will be erased. Unless you pay a $5 subscription fee and are willing to have you history saved on some uknown server. Give me a break! The description was misleading. Also, after 2 days, the history got all screwed up with numbers that are clearly wrong. This occured after I selected the 1 year view - that is when I first got the message to pay for history. I wish I did not pay my $1 because this is not an honest app.
Nobody
Terrible it breaks after a while. Then you redownload it and it breaks again. But i loved it for the two days it works.
